British Modern International School maintains a strict policy regarding student arrival and departure procedures. This   applies to all British Modern International School functions to include, but is not limited to, the following: special events, sporting events and any other school activity.

  1. It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure that students arrive on time and leave on time as well. In the event of minor circumstances, and a student is late or absent, please be sure to notify the school.
  2. British Modern International School asks parents to provide details and contact numbers of all individuals who will be bringing or accompanying children upon their departure from school. The information will be entered into the school database, and stored centrally. Please ensure that the information is accurate and correct. It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure that the information is correct and to keep it up to date.
  3. British Modern International School will only allow the person named on file to leave with the child, unless the school obtains prior written permission. Additional information will also be entered into the school’s database.
  4. British Modern International School staff reserve the right, and are encouraged to challenge anyone who wants to accompany a child, if that individual is unfamiliar with them. Staff are proactively responsible for the safety of children attending Modern British International School.
  5. The school does not allow students to be absent from school, unless the student has a good reason to do so. Accordingly, absenteeism and disregard of instructions issued for it can have a detrimental effect on student achievement and learning. Medical appointments, illness constitutes force majeure circumstances that require the preservation of his life. In such cases, please provide the relevant documents to verify the reason for absence. If a child must be taken out of school early for a valid reason, please complete the check-in and check-out at the main office.
  6. Parents may pick up their children from designated areas only. Parents should not pick up or pick up their children from classes who are in the second semester and above.
  7. Only maids and drivers may pick up children on behalf of parents only from designated reception areas.
